Lively restaurant in Edinburgh

Going to Edinburgh with a gang later in the year. Looking for a lively restaurant somewhere in the centre of town where we can have a bit of a laugh without being told to keep the noise down. Anyone got any suggestions?

Mariachi (spell?) Mexican on Victoria Street.

The prominent Indian (Kyushi's - spell?) also on Victoria Street/

sounds like a TGI Friday crowd to me, there's one just off Princes Street

There's also a place called the Filling Station, it's an 'american style' restaurant, there's one on the Royal Mile, and one on Rose Street near Princes Street.
