How to tell if a cloud will bring rain...

Craggy, uneven fragments of cloud are known in formal circles as ‘pannus’ and are described as ‘accessory clouds’. They are rain’s footprints and can be seen under all clouds that rain falls from... smooth bases on cumulus clouds mean no rain falling and ragged bottoms indicate rain falling.

If you are cooking Chicken Kyivs/Kievs in an airfryer, sit them on pieces of stale bread. They will soak up the mess and you might get some garlic bread out of it.

This reminds me of Viz magazine in the 80s
My recollections of Viz are quite different ... most are not suitable for this audience! Perhaps I skipped that page :)

At this stage it might be more approaching "The Oldie" territory than "Viz" ...

For most of my life I thought the 1 to 6 dial on a toaster was for turning up the heat

The clocks change here this weekend aka "fall back".
But the US won't be falling back until the following weekend!
Seems like the gap will be narrowing to 4 hours between Dublin and New York \ Washington.
