Hi,
Could anyone direct me to a list of pre-existing public service pension schemes organisations?
I'm getting conflicting results searching about..
TIA

Oooh...so PSTN network is the same as pre existing public sector pensions scheme organisations?

Thanks

Hi, referring to organisations that managed pension schemes..specifically I was / am seeking to see if An Post scheme is a member of the pre existing public sector pension schemes. And it appears to be from list of PSTN schemes. Thanks

The PSTN would be a non-exhaustive list of public *sector* schemes. From your original comment, you're looking to check public *service* schemes.

I think the Statutory Instruments under the Pensions Act would be a place to look for public service schemes (because - as far as I know - only public service schemes are exempt from the funding standard).

To my knowledge, An Post are a public sector organisation rather than public service. If you're looking to see if recent An Post service would result in someone joining a pre-existing public service scheme rather than the Single Scheme, it does not - it must be a public service scheme specifically.

Thanks KirbiG, I'm actually trying to determine if a pension scheme tax free lump paid out from an post 20 years ago would be included as part of revenues 40 year max service on future public service pension scheme tax free lump sum on retirement. So 2005 VS from An Post, took pension scheme tax free lump sum early and annual pension was deferred. Joined public sector immediately in 2005 and am wondering if that early pension scheme tax free lump sum would be included in revenues 40 year max service for 'pre existing service pension schemes. if it wasnt included it would leave much bigger scope for last minute AVC amount.
