linseed oil and beeswax finish woodfloors

hi, just wondering if anyone has ever used boiled linseed oil on their wood floors? also have been told that a finish with beeswax and turps would be good? though I'm not sure how to make the beeswax paste! anyone out there ever heard of this finish? appears its an old way of doing wood floors .

We used a mixture of 3 parts white spirit to 1 part raw linseed oil to clean our oak block floors, then apply Danish oil to give a sheen rather than a shine.
