Limited Company - Non Irish Directors

Wondering if anyone can help with this query. In respect of an Irish limited company, there has too be at least one irish resident director.

As far as I know there was some insurance (S43)? to overcome this. Is this still the case and is there any way I can check to see if they have met this criteria?

Does www.cro.ie or www.basis.ie have anything on this?

Further query, does anyone know if a director declares himself Irish resident, do they have to put their Irish residential address in, on say, a B1 for CRO.

In this case, they have ticked the box yes for Irish Resident, but put in an American address. I would think it is for tax issues, but does anyone know where CRO stand on this, can they use their main, ie American address, if they are only here for part of the year.
