Limerick

Went to college there, had a great time. Great nightlife as well. And of course, the home of Munster rugby! If your interested in rugby you'll love it there.

Only joking. As a blow-in Dub of 14 years' standing, I can assure you that it gets an awful lot of unwarranted bad press. I'm happier raising my kids there than I would be in central Dublin. Like any city, it has 'pockets' that are best avoided, but it has plenty of really nice areas too, and lots to offer. Unfortunately, a bad reputation takes longer to shake off than to acquire...
