Light scratches on paintwork

[Caveat]

There has been quite a bit on this site about chips and dents but what about light scratches?

Is something like T-cut still the recommended product or is there anything better out there?

T cut is fine. It's a light cutting compound.

OK thanks - I heard you have to be careful when using it though - is there anything I should be aware of? (silver metallic paint if it's relevant)
