Light Grey Mortar

Hi

I am looking to point up some stone work that was carried out on my house a few years back and the joints are all a very light grey colour.

when i mix ordinary building sand and cement the result is way too dark (when dried)....

anyone any ideas how i get a very light grey mortar finish (but not white)

You need to add hydrated lime to the mix. From memory, it should be a 4 sand; 2 lime; 1 cement.
