myself and partner just got mortgage approval and we were looking at life insurance and critical illness cover with a few different online sites...would anybody have any reccomendations on good brokers or insurance companies as at times its all a bit to complicated for both of us..any advice would be great on this subject...we live in cork

My own view is that you should keep your requirement for Mortgage Protection life insurance separate from any other requirement you might have. In other words, get the cheapest Mortgage Protection life insurance policy you can find and assign that to the bank. Then assess what your need for other optional covers are, e.g. illness cover, income protection, personal life insurance and deal with them separately but don't use them as part of your mortgage security.
