Self and partner took joint life assurance nearly 12 months ago while purchasing a house for 255K.

During application for assurance we both declared we were smokers, we have both subsequently quit. Can we get the premiums reduced now that the risk factors have changed?

Yep you will get reduced premiums, but not until you have quit for a period of 12 months. You will have to sign declarations as such. It may vary from company to company but i would say its pretty standard accross the industry
