My folks own their own house, no ground rent paid for the last 30 yrs ish, nor has anyone looked for it. Whta is the position if they wish to sell this house now? There is no existing mortgage on it.
The statute of limitations on any rent is six years. So on closing their sale, the worst case scenario is that your parents will have to pay six years' ground rent.
