Hi all, does this seem too good to be true, 2006, low mileage for sale on CBG? I have approx €30k to spend but I'd certainly be prepared to stretch to this if it seems like a good deal

Revenue suggests not;

"STATISTICAL CODE: 40285757 MAKE: LEXUS MODEL: IS 220D 2.2 VERSION: 04DR / SALOON / MANUAL / DIESEL / MILEAGE: 33750 MILES The information requested in respect of the vehicle shown is indicated below. DATE OF FIRST REGISTRATION(MM/YY): JANUARY 2006 OPEN MARKET SELLING PRICE:
(applicable on enquiry date) €33145 RATE OF TAX: 30.0% VEHICLE REGISTRATION TAX:
(payable on enquiry date)
€9943"

On a private sale I'd be looking to buy that car for €30k.

The Revenue site is really only applicable when importing a car so you know what VRT you will pay.

In the every day trading it's only a guide, it doesn't allow for supply and demand, extras etc.

Mattb if it's what you want, go for it.

Yes but it gives an impartial valuation, unlike a prospective trader.

p.s. That 2.2 diesel isn't very refined.

I also read the spacing between the gears is dreadful.

Seems like quite a bargain though, although 2 owners is an awful lot for a car that is 22 months old at most.
