My mam is considering getting wooden floors put down in the sitting room and the problem is when we got the extension on the house yours ago the sitting room was extended with the room that was the kitchen. We now have an arch where the divider wall was and their seems to be a height difference there.

Does anyone know of anyone in the Northside of Dublin who would be suitable for getting the floor level or could my brother do it? would it be a big job. Advice welcomed thanks

How out of level is the floor? If it's not bad you can use self-levelling compound to sort it out.

My floor was 2cm higher on one end than the other. My floor fitter fixed that problem with the chipboard he put underneath and he did an absolute excellent job. I think he's from Waterford originally, but he took the job (South Dublin) and had everything done in no time at all.
