Hello Guys,
I am looking for a bit of advise. The background of this is that I have been in trouble with mbna debt for nearly 2 years now. I wrote them several times and they just dont want to listen. I am being harassed by the mbna and I dont know what to do anymore. I have been polite and fair in my request for helping me to pay them back. They just dont want to listen. Can you have a look at this letter and see if it sounds "rude". I dont want to cause more problems for myself and upset MBNA people. thanks in advance.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you with regard to my mbna credit card account no.: XXXXXXXXX.

I tried communicating with you for several months in the last
year and explaining that I am financially unable to make minimum
payments toward my account as I have been out of work for over a
year. I tried very best, by taking loans off family members to
keep up the minimum payments until July of 2010. I am not in a
position to do so anymore.

I got in touch with MABS and forwareded you my Income &
Expenditure form and outlined the amount of commitment that I was
prepared to make each month towards my balance. You did not
agree.

I requested my MBNA card, which is suspended for approx. 2years
to be charged off/cancelled. You did not agree.

I requested to freeze charging interest and late fees. You did
not agree. I argued, the card hasn't been used for nearly 2
years. You did not want to listen.

I offered a Short Settlement. You did not agree. You were not
happy with the amount, I offered. You did not give me any
helpful, mutually agreeable figure.

You have harrassed me by calling me several times a week -
morning, noon and night. I am not a CRIMINAL. I owe you money.
I am asking you to help me to make payments to you.

I never refused to make payments.

I have been Unemployed for nearly 2years now. My financial
circumstances haven't improved since I submitted you my
Income & Expenditure form.

If you want to discuss my account any further in a civil manner,
please do so by in writing.

Many thanks
