Hi

I am currently going for my first mortgage and require a letter from my employee stating details of my employment status etc He has asked me to do it and he will sign it.

I want to make it as impressionable as possible to the banks - i was wondering if anyone would have some kind of template or know where i could get one that i can use - if there is such a thing!

I need all the help i can get to obtain the highest mortgage possible!!

Thanks

did the bank not give you a form to get filled out... i know PTSB and First Active do..

maybe pick up one of these forms from another bank and use it as a template...

State if the job is permanent. Is it pensionable? Also if you are on a pay-scale put the highest point of that scale. Put in any bonuses, overtime etc you get.

Can't really think of anything else. Sorry.

It doesnt need to be impressionable. Its purely to cover their own asses that they havnt given a 250k mortgage to an unemployed person. All it needs to state is your position and salary (bonuse etc). Doesnt need to be fancy, they make their decisions based on a number of factors and the format of a letter doesnt come in to it.

Samafi, we went through a mortgage brokers, Providence in Stillorgan, who produced one for us which I just had to get my work to sign and stamp.
