"TWO Clare men have been jailed for five and four years respectively for their part in the unlawful killing of a 26-year-old teacher in Ennis last December.
....
Ennis Circuit Court heard today that he was punched in the face by Harry Dinan in an unprovoked attack and he fell to the ground hitting his head off the pavement.
Kevin Dinan struck Mr Casey in the face and head as he lay unconscious on the ground.
....
Harry Dinan, who has 64 previous convictions and who was on temporary release from prison at the time of the incident, was given a five-year prison sentence.
Kevin Dinan, who has 17 previous convictions and who was on bail at the time of the offence, was given four years in prison."
4 and 5 years in Jail for killing a young man in an unprovoked attack (on St. Stephens Day), is outragous. I am fuming.
These thugs have shown they can't live by the rules of society and I think that 15 -20 years would be a more fitting term.
