Legal TV downloads

Hi - How can I legally download US produced TV eposides. I have tried itunes but they dont offer TV /Film downloads to customers based in Ireland. I have searched online but I keep getting directed to sites which I am pretty certain are illegal.

Posts referring to filesharing applications have been deleted. The programs themselves are not illegal; using them to download copyright material clearly is. The OP asked specifically for legal sources.
 
RTE have broadened their range of programs that you can watch - can't download them, but you can watch them streaming. This includes many of the US shows, that previously they didn't have on line. It would only be the last couple of episodes. Good if you missed something to catch up.

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I am not a sky subscriber nor is this particular program on RTE. I bit the bullet & just bought the DVD on Amazon. I had to go for a region one version but thats ok as I will be watching it on my pc.
