I had a car that was titled in Mass. I drove it to Florida for business. While there, I sold it to a stranger (about three months ago). I notified my insurance company immediatly and when I got back to Mass. I sent in my old plates. I just recieved a certified letter from a towing company in florida stating that they towed "my" car three weeks ago and that the bill is $700.00 and climbing every day. The buyer never registered or insured the car and is in jail. I live in Mass, the towing comany said if I dont pay they will have a lien added to my Mass driver's license. This seems so unreasonanble.
Q. Can they really do that?
Q. Do I really owe the towing company?,
