Left work due to stress, entitlements?

im currently unemployed and wondered if i am entitled to the dole. I left work because of i get very stressed easily.

if i am ,how do i go about it?

Go to your nearest Social Welfare office, bring P45, passport or long birth certificate and proof of address (ESB or phone bill) and apply for Jobseekers Benefit.

In order to qualify you must:-

Satisfy the PRSI conditions
Be aged between 18 and 66
Be unemployed
Be actively seeking work

If you left work on the advice of a qualified medical practitioner then you may be able to claim one of the payments listed here:

Ill or Disabled

If the Deciding Officer decides that you left work without good cause, you may be disqualified for a number of weeks. A letter from the doc confirming this will help.It will also help you if you can prove that that particular job was the cause of your stress adn that you are now looking for work in another area. Don't restrict your efforts to too narrow an area though.
