To anyone who's curiousabout where they stand in the whole left-wing/right-wing/broken wing scheme of things, try the [broken link removed] which brings things to light for you using a series of tests. You can then see which political figure of the moment, and some of the past, you broadly adhere to. You might be surprised.

Which are closely enough aligned with Nelson Mandela.

My result was pretty similar Pique.

Although I certainly wouldn't regard myself as being in the company of either Nelson Mandela or the Dalai Lama
 
My result was similar to Piques also, but a little further left. I fall between Nelson Mandela and The Dalai Lama

Anyone want to start a political party?
 
My result was similiar as well!!!

I came between Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama but a little more Authoritarian than them.
 
Its a stupid quiz as it does not allow for a "neither agree nor disagree" option. In addition many of the statements are inane and do not lend themselves to simple "agree or disagree" answers, eg

The rich are too highly taxed? (In Ireland? The US? Zimbabwe?)

Because corporations cannot be trusted to voluntarily protect the environment, they require regulation. (Does everyone really agree with the first part of that sentence. Does anyone disagree with the latter part?)
 
I am a liberal stuck in the middle between the left and right. Guess I just can't make my mind up!

Me too, came in at Economic Left/Right: -3.62, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.33 - as ye said tho it's not exactly a comprehensive or conclusive quiz - still a bit of craic eh! I'm sure I contradicted meself in some of me answers too if someone was to study them closely!
 
I did this test some years ago, and it’s nice so see I haven’t changed. I’m in the bottom right corner (with all the other nameless contrarians).

Though anyone else suprised at how few Right wingers we have - particularly given it's a site about money! Is it because everyone here is about the greater good - answering each others questions versus a more laize faire approach - or have I just, inadvertently, insulted half the people on here?

Anyone else look at the Irish parties? I'm as far left as the socialists
