Hi
I saw a cream leather suite in homebase recently and it looked nice and neat and also comfortable. I need to change the furniture in my sun room as it is very faded. I wonder how a leather suite would do would it fade also? would it get to hot to sit on? Does anyone have a leather suite in a south facing sunroom? The other thing is what is the quality of the furniture in home base. I saw a cofee table and nest of tables that I liked also. I would love to hear of other experiences please

This previous thread might give some advice. As mentioned therein Homebase and Argos appear to be in the same group so their furniture is similar as are their delivery charges/arrangements.

Did You get the Leather suite for the sun room ? I am wondering how it worked out. I need to buy a suite for my sunroom and am considering leather. if anyone has one could they let me know if they get to hot or do they work out ok.

We have a cherry red leather suite in our sunroom, its there about a year now, no problems thus far.......... . we buff it up every so often with a leather cleaner and cream to keep it supple .

I have a black leather suite in my south facing sunroom for the last 4 years, it has not faded but can get pretty hot during the summer months.

I have a red leather suite in a sunroom for 3 or 4 years. On very hot days ( which excludes the last 2 summers!), I closed the blinds.

Nobody sits in sunrooms on sunny days!

I would recommend using a leather cleaner more often in a sunroom to keep the leather more moist. You would find that the suite in years to come may start to crack if the leather is not treated.

I have a leather sofa in a south facing bay window and rub sun cream on it every few months...........you need to use the highest SPF possible.

I know it sounds mad but after all, leather is skin!

We have had no problems with it thus far (2 years)...........
