I am in the process of buying a leaseback property in Le Petit Lac in Mandelieu near Cannes.
We are buying through Overseasproperties.
I was wonderinng has anyone bought in this complex and would you recommend getting a solicitor to look at the contract on the buyers behalf?

There are either one or two Notaires in a sale. If there is one, the Notaire represents one party. If there is two Notaries, then one represents you and the other represents the other party.

So if you have a Notaire to represent you, then he is independent.

I can give you the details of my Notary if you want. He speaks fluent English.
