Sandymount Christ Church Hall March 1st
If it ain't broke don't fix it ... but if it is, bring it down to Dublin’s first Repair Café, in Sandymount Christ Church hall on 1st March.

This is a free event where everyone is invited to come along with broken possessions (such as household items, bikes, clothes, electronic goods, toys and so on) and learn how to repair them alongside expert volunteers in a café environment. In doing so you can find out how easy and satisfying it is to repair instead of buying new, and save money in the process. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or share your skills and lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. There will be plenty for kids to do too.

The café will be a 3 hour workshop from 2 to 5pm on Saturday 1st March. It is being organised as part of the Repair Café network (see Our website ). For more information see our facebook page Repair Cafe or twitter @SMrepaircafe

Fantastic! I love this movement...
I 'helped' whilst a true fixer mended my smashed iPad screen in the US last month: at a "fixit" workshop in Palo Alto (of all places). Great idea, cool people, saved me an iPad and has made me stop and think before tossing stuff ever since.

Will definitely swing by Sandymount, thx.
