Hi there everyone

I've just spotted a 17" LCD with DVD by 'Mikomi' in Argos for €450. This seems like good value.......anyone any ideas what Mikomi are like......never heard of them before.
Are you better staying with the Sony's and Philips etc. of this world.
TV is only for kitchen area so is not main TV of house

Any help appreciated.

Never heard of Mikomi but if its for the kitchen do you really need a dvd player ?

LG do a nice integrated 17" widescreen with DVD - used to be around €900 in DID. Not cheap, but a nice model. Only problem with integrated DVDs is you can usually hear noise as the disk spins, particularly if the volume is low, a la Playstation 2.

You might be better off buying a separate TV and DVD as you will get good entry level DVDs very cheaply, although admittedly it's nowhere near as neat.

Thanks guys but TV is to be wall mountable with nowhere for an independent DVD unit

It is actually large kitchen / dining area and dvd would be handy for kids while we (meaning Mrs. DaithiMc!!!) work in kitchen

I'm looking for something similar for the same reasons, Daithi. Do these TV's normally have a seperate transformer on the power lead? If so, have you thought about how this can be 'hidden' or disguised?
