I recently bought a 22" LCD TV and wall mounted and switched it on at the weekend. When the picture is not showing any transmission and is just black, it looks like there is a light coming from the bottom of the screen across the display...its not obvious when the screen is full but if I'm watching a movie and its in letter box mode and there are black bars top & bottom, its obvious on the bottom black bar.

Is this worth considering that it might get worse and request to change it now?

Mmm..the first thing that comes to my mind is a pretty bad case of what the AV gurus call "Backlight Bleed". I have pasted the following bit of info explaining it from a quick google:

If I'm right, then the set should definitely be returned.

that sounds like it alright.

its not spots but more like an area of the screen.

Thanks

Hi all,

I bought a samsung 37" lcd tv about 14 months ago.. Within the last month I have noticed thin green lines running down the screen from top to bottom in a small section of the tv when I turn it on, but after about an hour they just dissapear ! Anyone know what the problem could be...?

Thanks In Advance
