LCD TV/PC Monitor Combo

I want to get a new LCD monitor for my PC. Around 19-21 inch. Should I get one that is a TV aswell ? Can you use the TV speakers on those for the PC sound (remove the PC speakers). Any recomendations welcome.

They're not cheap, but Sony do make nice [broken link removed] combos with speakers. I don't know the price offhand but I'm sure a quick call to a Sony centre will reveal that nugget of information - the model in the link is a MFM-HT95. To answer your question, yes the speakers on the unit means you can get rid of the PC speakers

What is it that differentiates an LCD TV / PC-Monitor from an LCD TV apart from VGA connection possibly?

I'm nearly sure Dell supply something like this, I know I saw it in a house where they switched from TV to the PC
