Has anybody had to use either of these services?
There is little to no information on the consultant connections other than the below -
Access to International Specialists
Our Consultant Connections benefit offers members with a serious illness access to a review of their medical case by an international specialist.
How does it work?
If you qualify for this benefit, you’ll be assigned a contact who will act as your personal advocate. They will use the worldwide Consultant Connections database to find the most appropriate specialists to review your case. The specialists will look at your test results, along with the diagnosis and prognosis.
If the specialists make a different diagnosis or suggest a different treatment plan, you can discuss the findings with your own Consultant.
Please note - some conditions are unsuitable to avail of this benefit and a list of conditions considered for referral is available on request.
