Late LPT demand - Revenue threatening to deduct from company

Strange one from Revenue that I've never seen before - moved into a new house mid last year and amid lots of other personal upheavals, forgot to calculate/pay the LPT. Got a demand letter from Revenue (fair enough) telling me to pay the money or they'd deduct it from a limited company of which I am a director.
Honest mistake so I paid straight away but was taken aback by the threat - this a new thing? I'm not the only director of the company and I'd thought any personal and company taxation were completely separate.

Did Revenue reference any statute, like Section 78 Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 and Section 997A TCA?

No, just a line that if it was not paid immediately they'd deduct the amount from Name of Company plus interest. Felt a bit heavy-handed considering.

Revenue told the MD of the Company I'm a Director in that the Company would not get an updated Tax Clearance Cert because I had not paid LTP. (Just forgot to pay and paid then and the Tax Clearance Cert was released, got no "reminder to pay letter" from Revenue)
