Late dinner Manchester Sat. night?

Arriving into Manchester late on a Saturday night (will be doing well to arrive at hotel in Portland Street by 9pm).

It's getting on for 15 years since I was last there (indeed the IRA blew us out of our hotel on my last visit) so I'm sure any places I would have known then are long gone.

Where could we get a nice meal (Italian/Iindian/French - really not concerned with ethnicity of the food) at that hour of the night in that area?
 
I don't know Manchester at all, but it'd be a good idea to write down the names of everyone who attends.

Also, don't buy your house off the bus man....
 
Chinatown is an excellent bet. Also head for Deansgate, there is a bella pasta there and alos La Tasca if you like tapas. Around Oxford St aswell.
 
have to agree with Chinatown. Really nice restaurants and they are open late
