Last Minute Christmas Travel Ideas

Hi,

Myself and herself are thinking of going away somewhere for christmas - open to all sorts of ideas, but we are not really looking at a sun resort.

I know it's leaving it a bit late, but ........

Would love to try and get around central europe for a week or so, but it just seems so hard to tie everything in together.

Or maybe a ski trip - neither of us can ski and there just seems to be so many places to choose from.

Your thoughts please!!

There's no snow at the moment, so don't bank on a snow holiday over Christmas. However, this may actually mean there is good value to be had in some ski resorts as the hotels try to get some custom in over Christmas (unless they are already full)

Can I suggest something a bit odd, why not try Zagreb? Or Split? Both are busy during Christmas but have enough tradition to do it right.

Plus there is good value in hotels/apartments, the weather (esp n the coast) is good with lots of sun.

If you want to head away in the build up, then Germany or Austria are a must, Koln, Frankfurt, Marburg, Graz, all great value!
