I want to buy a printer. The RX425 from epson until Ii read online reviews regarding ink usage. 3/4 of ink used in head cleaning operation.

I was thinking a laser printer could be a better option with a separate scanner. Probably not too bothered about the colour option and whereas I dont do too much printing, I dont want to be paying out for new cartridges when they dry up due to non usage. Any suggestions please?

If you don't do much printing the cost of laser printer probbaly does not make sense. I hate buying those inkjet cartridge too, but if it's only once a year...

hi folks

the last post is right it's all down to volume, roughly less than 10 pages a day is fine for ink jet, laser is next step tehn there is the service contract machine, this means you pay a set cost per page and get all consumables for a simple cost per page, Xerox have a model where the cost per colour page is 15 cent adn black is 1.3 cent, this simly means regardless of the coverage on the page you pay a simple cost

I have decided to go for a mono laser. Any recommendations please ?

What shop sells OKI ? Have tried PCWorld & Harvey Norman.
