Hi,

Anyone ever use this card in withdrawing money from ATM's in India ?

I am going there next month for a couple of weeks ?

What are the charges applicable and anything I should be wary of ?

To use your card abroad you normally need to have a Cirrus symbol (blue logo similar to Mastercard/Maestro) or the Visa equivalent on your card. Cirrus is the ATM network of Maestro/Mastercard. It happens that Cirrus is the domestic ATM network of India, and so card should work. Cost can vary between banks. Also, watch for exchange rates, which may include a margin.

Thanks Gulliver.

The card does not have the Cirrus logo.
My bank tells me the Laser / Maestro while not widely used outside of Europe can still be used in India.
So I would expect to see the Maestro Logo at any international airport in India.
