Laser card query

Hi,

This is a pretty basic query, but as I long as I have had a laser/maestro card it didnt bother me using it in person in retailers. Mine has a 19 digit number on front, whereas my cc has 16 digits. If I want to use my laser/maestro for an online transaction, what 16 digits do I use? I tried entering from digit 4 to 19 ie 16 digits, but it wasnt recognised.
 
You can use laser online but it is down to the individual online merchant as to whether they can process it. So this will more than likely only mean Irish based businesses and merchants, for example the motortax.ie for motor tax renewal.
 
You can't use Maestro online and Laser is only accepted by Irish retailers (or those with an Irish clearing bank). Online retailers should show the Laser logo if they accept it.

You would enter all 19 digits on the cards
