Laser Card payments not allowed non irish registered companies

Hi,Just wondering is anybody aware or come across details of a new regulation registricting laser card payment for a company not registered in Ireland?I just tried to pay via laser to Uk company and it was rejected this was reason was new regulation.Never had problem paying by laser before.Thanks

Laser is a debit card used only in the RoI.

So it is very likely that a UK frim can not accept it.

I've used my laser card to pay for goods in shops in the UK. I have also used it to pay for a hotel in NZ with no problem. Ive tried to use laser online for a UK website and it didn't work, even though they had an icon for laser on it. I haven't tried anything really recent (past month) though.

You have used Maestro not Laser. Laser is a dead concept in any event.
