I was saddened to hear of Larry's death, aged 81. I didn't know he was married for 58 years.

JR was one heck of a character.
He had apparently filmed 5 episodes of series 2 of the new Dallas.
 
Very sad. I have enjoyed the return of JR Ewing to our screens, still a clever and charming old divil despite his age!

I was glad to read that not only his family, but his cast member friends like Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were by his bedside for his passing - shows what a great amount of respect his co-workers had for him.
 
I'd be worried we might all wake up in a year and find it was just a dream.
