Laptop

I'm looking for a good value laptop that will handle I Tunes & broadband internet. What's the best value for money on the market? Is it worth looking 2nd hand?

I think the low spec Dell one starts around €500. In Cork they have advertised Celeron Laptops at €489 in SoundStore - you could also try Harvey Norman.

I enquired about a second hand laptop before and I was told that was a bad idea because they only tend to last <5 years usually anyway.

As it says, I would avoid the "bargains" on ebay.
Dell outlet is good, I bought a basic one over a year ago, added a wireless card. Hasn't given me any problems, have iTunes on it as well The list is constantly changing so you need to keep poping in and out to find a good bargain.

I would be slow to go second hand, laptops can be fragile & battery life can be short if mis-treated.
