Hello

Looking for a decent laptop for about 1200 or so. Anyone know where is a decent place to get one!!

You should get something decent for €1200 at the Dell Outlet Store... or you could wait for the next Lidl/Aldi offer to come around? (invariably priced at €1299, but probably slightly better specs and with a 3-year warranty).
 
You might be as well going to the likes of Dell as the price differentials on hardware between the big names and smaller operations are often marginal these days. They also have a factory outlet that sometimes has good bargains on returned/reconditioned gear.

I believe dunnes or tescos have laptops at the moment - might be worth a look
 
I would go with the Dell route, particularly if outside Dublin. The support and warranty is local and transparent - even if im not their greatest fan myself!


The difference in price with the Aldi/Lidl/Tesco deals etc is fairly marginal, and I would be slightly nervous about warranty and repair, like which checkout in Tesco do you go to with a damaged PC?

You can buy a decent dell from under 900euro if your are not into gaming.
