Laptop mouse problem

My laptop mouse works when I move the icon around.

However when I try to click on something it does not work.

Instead I have to use the left hand side button just to click a browser, but I find it really annoying.

I think I accidently changed the properties or the set up.

Any help appreciated.

PS. I have a toshiba laptop

Right click on the scratch pad icon in the notification area. If you're lucky you'll see a "tap to click" line, just tick that line. If not,right click icon,pointing device properties,device settings tab,settings button,go to tapping in the tree on the right,tick the box "enable tapping" and you should be sorted.
