laptop for christmas

Hello all,need to buy a 2nd laptop for kids use (ages 10.12.15).|Gameplaying ,facebook etc.I have a budget of €500.ish.Have been recommended an Asus brand by *techie type* in work .Any advice?

I bought an Asus about 3 years ago, hasn't given me any trouble at all.

Alternatively, the €120 reduction on brings it to the same price, and the spec is better (more RAM, bigger hard drive, HDMI port) ...if you can find one in stock!

This Dell laptop spec is not bad for €479 inc. VAT & delivery (in 2 days apparently). Intel i3 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD . . doesn't have a discrete graphics card (re gaming) but the integrated Intel HD 3000 is good. Oh, and it seems they have some €50 rebate scheme if you have a junk (or broken I guess) laptop to send back.

2GB of RAM with Win7 ? I thought 4GB was the recommended amout of memory.
