Laptop Back-up

This may have been covered before, but I was wondering what the best option is for me to back-up my laptop hard-drive?

Get an external hard drive. Size of memory depends on how much you have stored on your laptop.

If by "backup" you mean "clone" then see here. Otherwise as Sunster says.

Depending on your budget and how critical your data you could consider using a service such as www.datahaven.ie

You can back up either the whole hard drive or various files on it. If you plan to back up the whole HD I would suggest an external HD and follow the link provided by clubman. If you are backing up only certain files then you can do this to CD/DVD (size permitting) using the windows XP back up wizard. This is found in Start menu->All programs->Accessories->Systems tools->Backup.If it is not there then you may need to install this from your windows Cd-rom. It is free and easy to use.
