Lanzarotte in November

Hi

Thinking of heading to Lanzarotte in Novemebr. Can anybody let me know if it wil be still reasonably warn there that time of year and if it will be a bit lively.

Any recommendations of resorts or accomodation would be appreciated.

Was there last year, late Nov/early Dec for a week

Weather was fairly ok, only 1 really bad day so hired a car, volcano stuff is cool.

Most days had a few hours of sun, it was generally pleasant all the time, - take a jumper/fleece out at night

Didnt go in for much nightlife but I think it wasnt bad, fairly late starting - after 12am - after a feed and a good bit of wine would be heading for nap by then ....

Puerto del Carmen seems the best and the old town part has a bit of charachter (well, its all relative). Decent standard of place, no high rise, not much in-ya-face ENGERLAND stuff.

Other resorts on the island looked really really quiet - and the main town, not a touristy town, called Puerto Rico if I remember right (no, not the US territory) looks uninteresting/dodge so I wouldnt be bothering with that. El golfo on the west coast is nice for a bit of seafood but I wouldnt think you'd spend too much time there

The main resort in Lanzarote is called Puerto Del Carmen, Puerto Rico is in Gran Canaria. Puerto Del Carmen has an old town and a new town. For the most part, accommodations there are hotels or apartments. I've been to a few apartment complexes there and would recommend either Kon Tiki Apartments or La Morana Apartments. They are both located between the old and new towns and very near the beach.

found it cloudy and windy and cold to be on the beach when the sun wasn't out. when the sun did break through it was very nice but those moments were far too few over the week (early november). this was in puerto del carmen. tour rep said it's fairly breezy in costa teguise most of the time - so probably a place to avoid in november. playa blanca at the far south is supposed to be the sunniest part of the island. nightlife in puerto del carmen was quiet. the few clubs along the main street do draw a crowd.. usually from 2am onwards but outside this, its disappointing. nice place to relax for a week though if warm sunshine isn't top of your priorities!
