Landlord living with you for JSA

I recently applied for JSA and had a means test last week (which was not overly nice) anyway she continuously asked me if my landlord lived with me. I said no but since talking to my landlord he actually uses my address for his official stuff so now I think he might put down my address as his and my application will be all over the place. Anyone any idea if it actually makes a difference if he does live in my house or not?
Additionally just for general interest how long is the wait for JSA?? I applied 7 weeks ago and just got called for a means test now even though I was told it would only be 2 weeks!
Thanks

Sounds like it's your landlord that should be worried - not you. Do you rent a room, an apartment of if a house, the whole house?

Just a room in the house, just the way she was asking about it I was wondering would it make much of a difference? The landlord is a friend of mine as well so I obviously don't want to put him in an awkward position

You need to tell him asap. I could be totally wrong, but there's a possibility that he is claiming that residence is his PPR - and your rental under the 'rent a room scheme' (i.e. tax free). However, if its not his PPR, then its not tax free.

I could be joining the wrong dots - but definitely worthwhile at least mentioning it to him - at the very least.

The only way this could affect your JSA means test is if they thought you and the landord were in a relationship.

I suspect the last poster has it correct though about the landlord playing games with rent a room and PPR's. Is this his ownly property?
