Hi

Currently we are paying €1500 per year for landlords insurance because we have 2 separate tenants in our property. 1 family occupy the main house. Another tenant rents a separate part of the house. Every year our broker says he cannot find a policy to cover this except one company that initialled charged €700 and €1500 last year and who knows how much when we renew this year. I cannot find anything online myself for multiple tenants same property only multiple properties.

If anyone knows of a policy covering multiple tenancies?
Surely it can’t be that rare considering the amount of houses where rooms are rented separately.

Also what are the implications of getting only standard building and contents insurance vs landlords insurance apart from possible rebate on lost rent?

Any advice appreciated

I am in a similar situation as I live in 1 part of the house and have 4 employees of a company in the main house
Had problems to getting full cover so went to a broker and got a reasonable quote of €880 just last month. The insurance company
are Frost insurance.

Allianz covered me as landlord in property subdivided.

The stupidest thing you will do is not disclose material facts to an insurance company. You might as well be uninsured.
