landcruiser query

My jeep was due a service however after the service 'a little light (orange spanner) lit up on the instrument panel) stating a service is required. Should the the mechanic reset this during the service.
2) As you drive you can hear a low audible sound coming from the dash passenger side ( a beeping/chiming sound) i thought it was just me until somenone highlighted it to me. Has anyone any experience of the above.
P.S. Could not post in the motoring section

spanner light came on as a coincidence after the service,, the mechanic can easily reset it now,, its no big deal, and he cat reset it if it was not on,,
no help on the noise unless its some buzzer?

Hi, Do you Drive a Landcruiser or a Jeep? Landcruiser is a Toyota, Jeep is a different car manufacturer.
