Hi,

The house I'm buying is a 2nd house one for €248k
The solicitor is charging Land Registry of €525
But as far as I can see it should be €375
Am I missing something ??

If you are getting a mortgage you will pay an extra €125 to the Land Registry, and €6.00 for a Certificate of Charge. They also charge €25 to get a Certified copy up to date Folio.
 
Great, thanks for that...just hate paying out unnecessary money to the legal profession !

Just to clarify, the solicitor does not benefit from these charges - s/he simply passes them on to the Land Registry/Registry of Deeds.
