I was thinking of putting a wood laminate flooring down in my apartment (5 years old). Is it suitable? Will it generate too much noise for neighbours? Do I need to get insulation when installing?
If your apartment has a Management Company have you checked with them if wooden floors are allowed? AFAIK many don't. There have been many threads on wooden floors and quite a few of them have made reference to apartments/noise/wooden floors. Perhaps a read thru them might give you some advice.
