Myself and my family were in a village on Lake Como for holiday this summer and it's a stunningly beautiful place. Would definitely go back again. Not sure about the weather in November but thought I would just mention that I think it will be DEAD in the winter. It's a much quieter area than Lake Garda anyway which is very touristy and Lake Como is very popular with Italians from Milan who have their second homes there but they don't use them in the winter and I think it's very likely to be very quiet with quite a few of restaurants / amenities closed as it's off season. I may be wrong but it is worth checking this out before you go. If you've booked it already and are really there for the scenery and a quiet break I'm sure you'll have a lovely time - Enjoy.
