Labour cost on new battery?

Just wondering what a person could expect to pay on top of the cost of the battery itself? (Volkswagen garage, if that makes any difference!)

Halfords will do it from €7. Other motor factors may do it for free or a similar small fee. I'd imagine the main dealer route would be more expensive for both the battery and the fitting charge.

Fitting a battery is possibly the easiest thing one could do, DIY-wise on their car.

I wouldn't dream of paying for it !

That's what I thought - that it'd be a simple disconnect/swop/reconnect.

Just make sure the connection are properly tight with you put it in.

I know a bit obvious but my mates garage has a bmw in for ECU problems that only happened after someone fitted a new battery and left a loose terminal.

and make sure you remove the negative first and reconnect it last !
