La Peniche

Hi,

Anyone been on La Peniche (Barge on the Grand Canal) for dinner? Looks interesting and does french food which I like

Firefly.

Hi Firefly,
We had a company do on "la peniche" a short while ago. We only had hors d'oeuvres but they were lovely & unusual, staff were brilliant and the boat is done up really nicely with velvet banquette type seats etc. I really enjoyed it but I'm not sure how busy it gets on normal nights. Could be a bit cramped.

I was there with about 15 people recently and would highly recommend it. Its quite a small space (downstairs) but it creates a great atmosphere. Its inexpensive compared with the rest and the staff are great. The food was super and they have a decent wine list.
