Flights booked with KLM ex Cork to Seville via Amsterdam in July. Got notified today return flight AMS to ORK (9.30pm)cancelled and automatically moved to following day (12.30pm) This now requires an overnight in Amsterdam. Have the option of refund but not really an option as rebooking at that time double the cost now.
So if I accept the change do I have to just suck up the cost of an overnight myself or can I claim some compensation for costs incurred?
Reading through EU entitlements not really clear… the flight involves an additional 15 hr layover…… in addition to what was originally 5hrs.
Not the end of the world….. will just enjoy a day/night in Amsterdam but be happier if KLM paid for the privilege!!
